Producer Description
MAISON A&S WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2018 BY TWO PASSIONATE YOUNG INDIVIDUALS FROM BURGUNDY, PIERRE-ALEXANDRE AND ALEXANDRE. Their vision is to manage the entire production process, from vineyard to wine marketing, with a strong focus on achieving the highest quality standards. While searching for a suitable infrastructure, they began their journey by renting a 17th-century vaulted cellar in Chagny, where they crafted their first three vintages: 2018, 2019, and 2020. Right from the start, they received support, guidance, and advice from various winemakers and friends. To this day, they delight in exchanging experiences to continuously enhance the quality of their wines. In 2021, they acquired a winery and land in Nantoux, in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune region. This acquisition enabled them to invest in advanced winemaking equipment that respects the integrity of the grapes, such as wooden and stainless-steel vats, a destemmer, a vibrating sorting table, a conveyor belt for sorting, and a mechanical horizontal press with an open oak cage. The year 2021 marked the first vinification in their new winery. Simultaneously, they acquired a plot of Pinot Noir in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune and have planned their inaugural plantation for spring 2024 in the AOC Hautes Côtes de Beaune, on the land surrounding their winery. In 2023, they acquired another plot in the Pommard village appellation. Currently, they continue their search for additional plots across various appellations in the Côte de Beaune. In their professional roles, the two friends complement each other remarkably. Alexandre handles the oenological aspects, as well as the commercial and communication aspects. Pierre-Alexandre, on the other hand, takes care of viticulture, along with accounting and administrative tasks. During key stages such as bottling, labeling, and waxing, Pierre-Alexandre assists Alexandre.
